About Arise2read

Mission & Vision

ARISE2Read exists to serve elementary students at risk for reading failure by recruiting and training volunteers to provide students with focused support to acquire the literacy skills needed to be successful in school and life. ARISE2Read’s vision is to encourage and instill a love of learning.

ARISE2Read accomplishes this by training volunteers to tutor children one hour a week in a simple sight word program. We also promote after-school Bible clubs at each school and partner with a church in the community to assist them in meeting the needs of neighborhood families.
