Make a Difference
Our mission at ARISE2Read is to facilitate one-to-one connections with students to improve their literacy skills, provide faith-based support in after-school clubs, and work together to make our community a better place.
To realize our vision of a community where every child is literate, feels valued, and can realize their God-given potential.

Not in Shelby County and want to bring ARISE2Read to youR schools?
ARISE2Read’s greatest desire is for children to be able to read the Word of God and enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. See how you can get involved through one of our after school Bible clubs.
ARISE2Read is a 501(c)(3) that relies on donations to fund our work. Our small staff is dedicated to improving the educational outcomes of the students we serve. We accomplish this by recruiting and training volunteers throughout our community. ARISE2Read provides all the materials our volunteers need to serve their students in our partner schools. In addition, ARISE2Read provides 10 brand-new books each year for ALL 2nd graders in our schools to ensure children in low-income communities have access to books in the home.
