On behalf of all of us on staff at ARISE2Read, as well as our board of directors, thank you for volunteering your time to serve the children of our city during the 2019 – 20 school year. While this past year didn’t end the way we planned, the work that was done could not have happened without the commitment of you and the other volunteers that served.
Each year we try to express our gratitude to ARISE2Read volunteers for spending countless hours serving 2nd graders in schools throughout Shelby County to support strengthening their sight word fluency. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were not able to host our Volunteer Appreciation Event, and we were very disappointed that we didn’t get to celebrate with you. We created this video to express our thanks for your heart work and dedication week after week to save a child, save a family, and save a city. We hope you enjoy, “The Blessing”.
